Marshall Retail Group Opens the Flamingo-Laughlin Gift Shop

Laughlin, NV (05/19/06) –Marshall Retail Group has added another store to its specialty shop portfolio, continuing its standing as the largest independent specialty retailer in the casino resort marketplace in the United States. The Flamingo Laughlin, which was recently bought by American Casino & Entertainment Properties, LLC from Harrah’s Entertainment for $170 million, is the latest resort to open a gift shop owned and operated by MRG.

The Flamingo-Laughlin gift shop carries brand-name, upscale merchandise by Marshall-Russo including upscale purses, luggage, and exclusive women’s apparel. Carina jewelry and traditional logo shirts and souvenirs are also available, including Flamingo-logo luggage destined to become a collectors’ item. In addition, children’s beach apparel and water toys are sold at the gift shop, as well as the usual sundry items like books, snacks, soft drinks, and other necessities.

Laughlin is 90 miles southeast of Las Vegas, in the heart of the Desert Southwest, and attracts about 5 million visitors annually. This small resort city is nestled on the banks of the Colorado River in the Nevada desert, and provides an ideal spot for year-round water sports in addition to being a mini-gambling mecca.
