Marshall Retail Group Announces Exclusive Product Launch for Lost Vegas: Tim Burton @ the Neon Museum

Marshall Retail Group (MRG), America’s largest independent specialty retailer in the airport and resort marketplace, proudly announces the official launch of the Lost Vegas: Tim Burton @ The Neon Museum merchandise, made exclusively in partnership with world-renowned director, producer, artist, writer and animator, Tim Burton. The highly anticipated exhibition debut at The Neon Museum will run from Oct. 15 through Feb. 15, 2020.

In collaboration with Tim Burton, Marshall Retail Group has developed a custom-curated assortment of gifts and collectibles featuring never-before-seen artwork by Burton, which pays homage to the city of Las Vegas. Visitors and locals alike will have the chance to view the only-in-Vegas display and commemorate the experience with exclusive memorabilia, only available at The Neon Museum store.

Among the featured products are DIY FlipBooKits, miniature movie machines that include 24 printer-ready sheets displaying Burton’s Lost Vegas artwork in a tactile, kinetic art piece. Also featured are two FlipBooKit collection pieces: the Carousel FlipBooKit ($495), a 24-frame mechanical flipbook printed with UV-reactive ink and LED lighting displaying hand-drawn prints of Burton’s creatures in motion; and the Procession FlipBooKit ($7,500), a 32-frame wooden box plated with stainless steel, illustrating Burton’s take on the four playing card suit characters as they bounce, hop, scoot and scuttle about. Each limited-edition piece is designed with Tim Burton’s creative guidance, showcasing the animated character artwork in a new medium.

Other products available include Burton’s exclusive Spade Candle. The candle features Burton’s signature spade character in his familiar, artistic style to mirror a classic Las Vegas symbol. The 8.6-inch-tall collector’s item offers visitors a special piece of the Lost Vegas exhibition to take home after their visit.

The Neon Museum store also offers Burton’s books: The Art of Tim Burton (2009), and The Napkin Art of Tim Burton: Things You Think About in a Bar (2015), as well as Burton’s artwork on an assortment of wallets, passport holders, graphic T-shirts, mugs, water bottles, keychains, postcards, magnets and more.

“Marshall Retail Group is thrilled to partner with The Neon Museum to bring Tim Burton’s exhibit to life in tangible products for our visitors,” said Michael C. Wilkins, CEO of Marshall Retail Group. “My personal involvement on The Neon Museum’s Board of Trustees has made this launch even more exciting for myself and our entire team. This exhibition speaks volumes to the evolution of art in Las Vegas, and we are proud that it is all happening at The Neon Museum.”

The Lost Vegas: Tim Burton @ The Neon Museum exhibition will showcase sculptural and digital installations that celebrate Burton’s link to Las Vegas’ historical neon heritage. The site-specific creations play with the Museum’s landmark sign collection, which was prominently featured in Mars Attacks!, his 1996 film. The presentation of Burton’s art in Las Vegas is a unique experience where the host institution also serves as creative inspiration. The campus is transformed through the artist’s singular vision for this original exhibition.

Exhibition dates are from Oct. 15 through Feb. 15, 2020. General admission tickets are priced at $30 each and may be purchased by visiting The Neon Museum website here. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. – midnight daily. For more information, visit neonmuseum.org.
