Las Vegas, NV (08/21/06) – Tom Kaplan, senior managing partner of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, has joined Marshall Retail Group’s Board of Directors.
“Tom’s expertise in the Las Vegas market and hospitality industry, along with his extensive community involvement, made him the ideal fit to join the Board of Directors,” said Michael C. Wilkins, president and chief executive officer of Marshall Retail Group. “He is a wonderful addition to our current Board of Directors, his experience and knowledge will be instrumental in the continued development and expansion of MRG.”
Kaplan has worked alongside Wolfgang Puck for more than 25 years in the development and operation of his world-famous restaurants. He supervises the operations of the Spago restaurants in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, Maui and Palo Alto as well as Postrio, Chinois, Trattoria del Lupo, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Las Vegas, CUT in Beverly Hills and the Wolfgang Puck American Grille in Atlantic City. As Senior Managing Partner, Kaplan oversees business management, company expansion, marketing, public relations and philanthropy for the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.
Additionally, Kaplan devotes a large part of his time to community charity projects. He serves as the vice president of the Puck-Lazaroff Charitable Foundation and director of the Las Vegas Animal Foundation. Kaplan is also a member of the Las Vegas chapter of the Young Presidents Organization and Chaine des Rotisseurs.
